Model Answer 1:
The number of websites which I genuinely like to visit from time to time in order to gather information for my study purposes is large. But today, I would like to talk about one website that remarkably helps me a lot more than the others.
"Wikipedia" (https://en.wikipedia.org) is what I am talking about. This website provides an array of information in the form of articles virtually on all kinds of subjects from history to anthropology to space science and anything in between. Many visitors come to Wikipedia to acquire knowledge while many others come to share their valuable knowledge. One of the best things about this website is that there always are other links towards the ends of most articles for other articles of interest, relevant external websites and pages and reference material. Besides, all articles on this website are being updated and edited continuously by a large number of “editors” from diverse backgrounds, and therefore, information received on this website is always extensive and reliable for knowledge seekers.
If this website didn’t exist, I would not be able to write many of my term papers at my university. Besides, as a business student, I have to do a lot of case studies on different companies and their business policies, and I wouldn’t exactly be able to finish those case studies properly without the help of this great website. Finally, this website also helps me in gathering accurate data and information in preparing and delivering my PowerPoint presentation, which involves displaying the improvement/profit graphs of some giant corporations in the world, in front of the class.
Model Answer 2:
The world wide web (or “www” in short) is very much like a treasure trove of information today where all kinds of websites are competing with each other to provide us with the best and most up-to-date information available. Of all these websites, I think that “Google” offers me the best choices for my professional needs, and here today, I would like to discuss how it helps in my work.
Anyway, I started using this search engine, and the most popular one in that too, more than 12/13 years ago at a time when I was about to graduate from high school and was surfing the internet just for the purpose of some fun and entertainment. At that time, little did I know that it would also help me meet my professional needs as well in the subsequent years when I start working as a website and online business strategist.
In fact, today I use google.com probably a dozen times each day, not only at my work but also when I am outside of my office, in order to stay on top of all the trends, tools and technologies today that are related to website design and development. It also helps me find information like how to prepare a perfect project proposal letter, with all the right information in it, to convince a very demanding, foreign client. And I don’t even want to mention how this search engine has helped me on numerous occasions with things like how to fix a technical issue when I was working on a tough project.
In the end, if this search engine didn’t exist, I wouldn’t really be able to learn many of the “unconventional and difficult” things, related to my professional needs, which are not always found anywhere else. But, most important of all, without Google, I probably would have never completed many of my tasks on time to meet the demand of my valuable clients, and in my profession, finishing a task on schedule is probably the single most crucial factor for anyone’s success.
Sample Answer 3:
Introduction:
The internet has become an integral part of our lives, and we use it for various purposes almost every single day. Today, I would like to talk about a website that has been a great help to me in my studies. Before I go into the details of this website, I would like to thank you for this nice topic.
What the website is:
The website that I am referring to is called "Khan Academy." It is a non-profit educational website that offers free online courses, tutorials, and practice tests on various subjects, including mathematics, science, humanities, and computer programming.
How often you use the website:
I have been using Khan Academy for the past two years, and I use it almost every day.
What information the website gives you:
The website provides me with a wealth of information, ranging from simple concepts to advanced topics. I usually use this website to clarify my doubts or to learn new concepts. The website offers video lectures, practice questions, and assessments that help me gauge my understanding of the topic. Khan Academy has helped me a lot in my studies and I am so much dependent on it nowadays. The website's interactive nature and the ability to work at my own pace have allowed me to learn difficult subjects more effectively. The website has also helped me prepare for exams and assignments, as it offers practice questions and tests that are similar to the ones I have to take.
And explain how your work or studies would change if this website didn't exist:
If Khan Academy did not exist, my studies would be significantly impacted. I would have to rely on textbooks and lecture notes, which are often not sufficient to fully understand complex concepts. Moreover, I would have to spend a considerable amount of money on private tutors or coaching classes, which are not always available or affordable.
