IELTS Invitation Letter:
One of the common IELTS letter types is an invitation letter. In such a letter, you invite someone to a party you are going to organise. It can be a graduation party, birthday party, backyard barbeque party, reunion party, or a social event. You would most possibly write an invitation letter to someone you know and hence this type of letter can be either a semi-formal letter (for example, inviting your neighbour to a party at your house) or informal party (for example, inviting your friend to your younger sister's birthday party). In an invitation letter, you should let the person know how important it is for you that he/she attends the party.
What to include in an invitation letter:
1. Mention the event and invite the person.
2. Give details about the event, its date and time, and who would be present at the party.
3. Mention that you would really like him/her to be present at the party and give a hint about what they can possibly do at the party.
4. Give the direction of the venue if required.
5. Say that you look forward to seeing that person at the party.
6. Give phone number or any other way to communicate you for any information or direction.
