Sample Answer 2:
The given illustration presents data on the sales volume in a coffee shop on a weekend based on four different time-slots. As can be seen from the given table data, the shop sold four items - coffee, tea, pastries and sandwiches and the sales of these foods and drinks varied based on the time of the day but coffee sold exceeded the sales of any other item.
It is obvious that early morning (7:3 am to 10.30 am) and evening (5.30 pm to 8:30 pm) are the time people preferred to have a cup of coffee as the 265 and 200 coffee sales in these two time-slots indicate. The restaurant sold around 800 cups of coffee which was almost 3 times higher than the tea sales in this very shop. Interestingly, demands for tea and coffee in the noon were far less. Besides, the highest pastry sale was in the early morning with 275 sale volume and this was the highest sale unit on this day. Sales volume of no other item on that day went beyond 275. Despite the high demand for pastries in the early morning, it decreased in other times of the day. Finally, sandwiches were bought more in the lunchtime than any other period of the day. 200 sandwiches were sold in the noon alone while the combined sale volume of it in the rest of the day was even less than that.

Sales of pastries decrease to just over one-third (95) between 10.30 and 2.30 after a flying start and finish the day with the number 80. It can be seen that employees and customers opt for coffee and tea as beverages and pastries and sandwiches as snacks. Coffee stood out to be the preferred drink in comparison to tea.
At 7:30-10:30, there were 265 coffee drinkers whereas 110 chose tea. However, during midday (10:30-2:30) and afternoon (2:30-5:30), the demand to consume the former and the latter dropped to 185-145 and 50-35, respectively. But then again, in the evening, between 5:30-8:30, the demand for these drinks rose up to 200 and 75 subsequently, stating coffee as the leading consumed liquid in the entire time period.
On the other hand, pastries and sandwiches were the desired snacks from morning until nighttime. The demand varied on the given time slot. Most office workers, select pastries for snacks at 275 rather than sandwiches at 50 in the early morning. At 10:30-8:30. the order for both snacks was altered. 95, 150, 80 for pastries in contrast to 200, 40, and 100 for sandwiches.
In the morning, people consume pastries more than sandwiches and the highest sales of pastries (275 pieces) occur in the morning. People drink 265 cups of coffee in the early morning while tea consumption during this period is only 110. However, the intake of coffee and tea are highest in the morning while it is second highest in the evening. People prefer to eat sandwiches in the late morning hours and early noon while they usually avoid those in the early morning and evening. Therefore sale of sandwiches reaches the highest level, 200 sales, in a day at noon.
In the afternoon, although sales of all food and drinks reach the minimum level, coffee and pastries are the most preferred items by consumers at that time, which are 145 and 150 respectively. Sales of tea and sandwiches are 35, 40 sequentially. Finally, in the afternoon, people’s food and drink consumption habits show a different scenario and more coffee are consumed during this period than tea and other two food items.
